Query Explorativeness for Integrated Search in Heterogeneous Data Sources
نویسندگان
چکیده
We consider query systems which allow imprecise queries and define a new property called query explorativeness. This property characterizes the transformations performed by a system in order to answer imprecise queries, i.e. the system’s “work” for mapping input queries into more precise target queries.

MDDQL : an ontology driven , multi - lingual query language and system for an integrated view of heterogeneous data sources .
Query languages and keywords based search engines are conventionally specified and implemented with the emphasis put on syntactic rules to which query typing and answering must be bound. MDDQL is a query language and system that operates on a semantic model in terms of a graph based ontology. As a software technology, MDDQL allows the meaning of/and associations between information to be known ...

|The access and exploitation of integrated data repositories and applications is critical for life science. Biologists design protocols that typically rely on complex query pipelines accessing various biological electronic resources (data sources and tools) to consistute data sets for analysis and mining. Integration platforms are needed to allow biologists to acces, manipulate and analyze elec...
متن کاملQuery Architecture Expansion in Web Using Fuzzy Multi Domain Ontology
Due to the increasing web, there are many challenges to establish a general framework for data mining and retrieving structured data from the Web. Creating an ontology is a step towards solving this problem. The ontology raises the main entity and the concept of any data in data mining. In this paper, we tried to propose a method for applying the "meaning" of the search system, But the problem ...
متن کاملDiscovering Popular Clicks\' Pattern of Teen Users for Query Recommendation
Search engines are still the most important gates for information search in internet. In this regard, providing the best response in the shortest time possible to the user's request is still desired. Normally, search engines are designed for adults and few policies have been employed considering teen users. Teen users are more biased in clicking the results list than are adult users. This leads...

Existing data integration frameworks are poorly suited for the special requirements of scientists. To answer a speci c research question, often, excerpts of data from di erent sources need to be integrated. The relevant parts and the set of underlying sources may di er from query to query. The analyses also oftentimes involve frequently changing data and exploratory querying. Additionally, The ...
